This term we have been doing calendar art. We used tints and shades to change the colour to match the colours on the picture of yourself in that place. We had to make it a bit lighter than what we actually are because when it dries it becomes darker.
The bit I liked best about today was high-jump because I got to watch Sheridan doing the high-jump. I didn't do so well in archery because it's something I never do. My little buddy had fun at the dancing because our finally move Eva and I lifted her and waved ribbons all around. My little buddy also had fun on the piggyback riding because we did a triple piggyback ride where Eva and I crossed hands and Sheridan sat on the crossover and put her arms around our shoulders.
In the holidays I swum one hour each day not on Sunday's.
I went to my nans place for a sleepover.
On the last day of the holidays I made a dessert that was pastry base. It had platter pastry on the sides and dark chocolate in the middle. Then we put it in the oven and the chocolate melted. Then we put marshmallows on top of the melted chocolate and put that in the oven. I looked through the glass in the oven and I saw that all the marshmallows had puffed up.
In the holidays I wrote a book called the secret life of criminals. I am going to write a second book called the secret life of criminals return of the lost wand.
In the holidays I also made phones out of wooden pieces. I coloured them the colours of the people's elements and drew a picture based on their element. I gave them to Talia, Izira, Lyna, Carrisa and myself. Talia and Iziras phones were blue with a picture of a wave. Lynas phone was green and had a picture of a flower. Carrissa's phone was originally black because I didn't have any purple but when I got to school Carrisa took it home and painted it purple.
WALT: recorded events and our reaction to them on our blogs.
We do cross country every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. At home I run the dog around the block every day so that I can get faster. The real cross country is this Thursday. I hope it's not going to be too rainy.
On Wednesdays we make lemonade and sell it. I always bring one dollar to school because Katelyn and Aishlings mums forgot to give them the money.
On Monday, we made golipoli in the sandpit where World War One took place. We collected one hundred red sticks and one hundred green. The green ones were the Anzac army and the red ones were the Turkish army on top of the mountains of golipoli. The Anzac army was supposed to come at night but one man mucked it up and came in the morning.
Heat oil in a large saucepan. Add the onion and cook gently until soft. Add the spices and tomato purée stirring to combine. Add potatoes and stir to mix. Add about half a cup of water and cover. Cook for fifteen minutes stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed. Add peas, stir, and simmer another five minutes. Add a little salt if needed. Serve with roti or rice.
Mum and family you should try it because it tastes nice in a different way to others.
I liked it when we were allowed to make a waterfall.
I had to use my patience when we made the waterfall because everyone else was there filling up the space.
This is the stream we played in and made a little waterfall in.
In this photo I am climbing up the climbing wall at kids Republic. I'm not a very good climber but I just wanted to have fun. I didn't like it when Aishling and Katelyn went to climb and I didn't get to carry on the game I was playing with Katelyn and Aishling.
On construction day the hardest session was the Lego because their so tiny and hard to put together.
This is a picture of mine and Aishlings structure that held up 4 books.
This is me and Aishling doing the height challenge. What I liked about the height challenge was
we kept complimenting ourselves.
On art day we made a mural in the library with Rebecca in the library. we put on little people that we made with Suzanne. I had to focus on drawing in an accurate place. The bit that I helped with on this photo was... \/
On water day my first rotation was making boats that can hold fake coins. My second rotation was the water fight. I didn't like it when people squirted you in the eye. I felt as cold as an iceberg and I forgot to bring a towel out to dry myself with.
On camp day we set up tents in the morning and people choose their tents. Aishling went to Katelyns tent and heaps of girls from Brenda's class came to my tent. A little bit later Katelyn and Aishling came to my tent. After that Alasandra and her friend briar moved into my tent and by that time my tent was packed with people. Here is a photo of me and my group roasting marshmallows around a fire. I felt like this was going to be the best day of my life because the s'mores were so delicious.
Yesterday a group of kids in my class went to the staff room kitchen to make apple crumbles. Over all they made 18. Then another group from our class sold the apple crumbles after school for $5.00. The crowd was busy and we sold all the apple crumbles. My mum got an apple crumble and my family and I ate it for dessert. She served it with homemade yogurt and hockey pockey ice cream. I felt great because it was so delicious. Today it's my turn to make apple crumbles and I really hope mum gets one today as well.
Yesterday was my turn to sell the apple crumbles, and luckily mum bought one. They were $5.00 each. The apple crumbles were getting sold at a great speed. They were gone in no time. When I had dinner that night I was daydreaming about the crumbles. The apple crumbles were so delicious that I wish we had bought two. Unfortunately for me that was the last day we were selling the apple crumbles.
